Student of the Month Story

Who:Miranda Cardenas, What:won Student of the Month. Where: at Bowie High school. When:She won the prize on January of 2018. Why and How:Her hard work in grades, extra curriculars, and performance in class helped her receive the prize.

A sophomore who won student of the month in her biology class.

"The winner of Student of the Month has to have completed some tasks beforehand," biology teacher Rachel Been said. This person has to have excellent grades, great attendance, friendly with their peers, and if they are in any other organizations, clubs, sports, etc, that is excellent.

This student is in debate. A leader in debate too.

"I think she earned the prize because first of all she wins a lot in debate," sophomore Marissa said. "She is a great leader."

This student is an "A" student. Her work is always completed and turned in on time. She studies a lot to have straight A's.

"Miranda is one of my outstanding students because of the hard work she puts into everything she does,"Been said. "She always knows what to do and how, she always receives A's in my class."

Miranda has always been friendly and has made a lot of friends in school. She is always welcoming to whoever. She helps other people with any work they need help in.

"I like Miranda because she is very friendly with people. She is always helpful and is always there when you need her, and has great advice to give," sophomore Hailey said.

This student is always on time and has perfect attendance. She is always ready to work on anything given to her.

"She is always here and I love that," Been said. "Sometimes she is the first to come to class, her attendance is perfect and that is great for her and me too."

Her GPA is 4.2 and she has been maintaining it like this for some time.

"Miranda is my friend and I can't believe it, she is an awesome outstanding student. She has always been excellent in everything. She also always tries to find the way to make everything turn out right. She totally deserves what she won because I've never someone like her," sophomore Matt said.

  1. So remember that lead is supposed to be its own paragraph of just one sentence. The 5Ws and 1H are there to guide you, but should not be a part of the actual story. Attributions are 'title name said' don't forget. I think your inverted pyramid is a little off, you bring up debate and club involvement before attendance and grades. I think that is a little off. Also, you ended with an opinion. Always end with a quote. and make sure your last transition paragraph is not opinionated. Not a bad first effort.
