Violence on Television
Violence on television affects mostly children. I think that if any child sees some kind of violence on tv it is affecting their brain and they are learning aggressive behavior.

A report in 1983 by National Institute of Mental Health identified major effects of violence on tv such as children acting in in an aggressive an harmful manner, children becoming less sensitive to harms of others, and children becoming fearful of the world around them.

The Media in the home survey found that 28 percent of all children shows contained four or more incidents of violence per show. Several studies have shown that a child is more likely to display violence depending on the degree of the violence.

Caroline Knorr parenting editor for Common sense media said 90% of movies, 68% of video games and 60% of tv shows show violence. Both preschool and school-aged are most likely to copy the violence they have seen. A study in pediatrics found that if no violence is shown behavior of kids from ages 3-5 can change in just six months.

Many kids can also think that if what they are seeing on tv is real then the world outside is like that. Kids will feel scared. Nightmares are a consequence of tv violence. Kids under the age of seven don't know the difference between fantasy and reality. Some kids might find some violence funny.

Parents sometimes are too busy or distracted in other stuff that they don't see what their children and watching. Younger kids don't know much so parents should always keep an eye to what is being watched. Parents are also responsible for picking movies that are appropriate for the family to watch. Parents who transmit tv violence as something normal are affecting their child brain and their actions.

More people are dying of fired guns than asthma, influenza AIDS, pneumonia. Studies have been done that maybe this has to do with what people watch on tv. It has come to conclusion that yes people who watch violence in tv become aggressive adults.

Kids, teenagers, and adults have to be careful what they see and transmit to others. Bullies can also be created when they see violence. Parents don't know they are converting there kids into those persons so parents should take into consideration what their kids watch.

What parents should do is to make sure movies, shows, etc is appropriate to watch for their children. If a family ever watches a movie they have to make sure it is rated appropriately for the whole family to watch.

I think violence is not good for anyone to watch and shouln't be shown to anyone.
