Magazines part ll

Early Magazine Cover-Magazines back then are not as we see them today. They started with a title and table of contents. There was no description of what the magazine was about. Some just had a picture or illustration than a description.  Cover lines were used and many had no covers and just started with an article. In the later 1800s there started to be covers with more illustrations and the name of many departments to be found inside the magazine instead of a table of contents.

Poster Cover- These appeared in many types of magazines. They could be defined to as there are no cover lines or themes noted. Some of the poster covers had no relation to the story inside the magazine. The picture in the poster was more for a mood or the season in. In early and mid 1900s poster covers were used more prominently. They fist started with no cover lines and went adding a few over the time. It was used a lot in the 20th century but still is around.

Pictures Marries to Type- They many be integrated covers. There a primary and secondary set of cover lines. The placement of the picture counts of the depth. Magazines will leave their cover lines quiet in the 40s and 50s and later in the 60s they started to expose more. The cover lines also began to change from just announcements to issues contents. Cover lines became more and more strong and big that they became really popular.

In the forest of words- In these the cover lines have become way too big and the model in the picture is forced to be small in comparison to the big, huge lines. The picture and the lines overlap. The lines are all over the image. There is a big amount of cover lines that the cover model looks at us like if it were looking form a forest of many words. The cover is in the middle of the forest of all these words.
